C.R. resident wins Western Dressage world championship
Western dressage is not a well-known riding discipline — yet.
Adelaide Pickett is working to change that. In early October, she and her horse Hot N Royal (he goes by “Roy”) competed at the Western Dressage World Championship Show in Guthrie, Oklahoma — and won a world championship.
The discipline picked up steam in 2010 when the Western Dressage Association of America was founded, but Pickett has loved horses and competition her whole life. She started riding at age 4.
