WDAA International Year End High Point Program-IYEHP
WDAA International Year-End High Point Awards Program (IYEHP)
Launches January 2025
Objective:
To reward Western Dressage horses enrolled outside the United States for their performance across various classes throughout the competition year, promoting competitive participation in WDAA-recognized shows worldwide.
Effective Period:
2025 competition year (January 1st) through December 31st, resetting annually.
Point Allocation
- Based on Entries:
Points are awarded according to class placing and the number of entries in each class and division. The first-place horse receives points equal to the number of entries, with a maximum of ten points. - Based on Placing:
Points are also awarded based on class placement, with the highest points for first place, decreasing by one point for each subsequent position. For instance, in a ten-participant class, first place receives 10 points, second receives 9 points, down to 1 point for tenth place. - Online Shows Adjustment:
Points earned at online shows are awarded at half-rate to account for the unique online competition environment.
Eligibility
- Show Recognition:
Points accrue only at WDAA-recognized shows. - Membership and Registration Requirements:
Horses must be linked to an active WDAA membership and have a registered WDAA Horse Number or a WHLPAP Number. Points start accumulating from the date of WDAA registration. Only results after the membership activation and horse registration date count towards the IYEHP or YEHP. - Exhibitor Requirements:
All exhibitors must have an active WDAA membership. - Show Management Requirements:
Show management must submit official results, including all required data, to WDAA within 14 days of the show for points to be applied. [Link to show rec resources]
